General Information

Q: What has changed?

In August 2023, IAQG announced plans to suspend the SR004 Rev B transition activities and realign all the standards and OASIS v3 on a coordinated timeline. IAQG released SR004 Rev C to clarify the requirements until a revised transition timeline is released.

Q: What is the impact for those who already purchased/completed the 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Training and Exam?  Do I need to qualify again?

Those who already successfully completed the Delta do NOT need to qualify again. The changes in the updated versions of the standard are planned to be very minor and will NOT require further requalification. Anyone who already purchased the Delta Bundle and successfully completes it prior to 30 November 2023 (including those who already completed it) will receive an information sheet that outlines any auditor-related changes and related impacts, along with one-year access to the updated training, at no additional charge. Delta certificates issued to 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 will be re-issued to align with the revised standards and will be recognized by all Auditor Authentication Bodies (AABs).

Q: How does this affect the deadline for transitioning that was previously announced?

Previously, IAQG announced that auditors would need to transition within one year of release of the Delta Training in each language. However, due to the delay in implementing the 9101:2022 forms and 9104-1:2022 requirements in OASIS v3, IAQG delayed the transition and suspended the current program to realign the timeline. Once revised standards are released and OASIS v3 is updated, IAQG will begin a new transition timeline. All languages will now follow the same unified transition timeline.

Q: When will the revised standards be available and what is the new transition timeline?

This information is not yet finalized. IAQG is planning to release a supplemental rule as soon as possible that will clarify the new plan and schedule.

Q: Will you be updating the Delta training materials and exam to incorporate the changes in the revised standards?

Yes, once the revised versions of the standards are released, we are planning to update the training and exams, as needed, to reflect the minor changes. However, again, IAQG has stated that these minor changes will not be significant; any change of significance will be communicated separately to all existing purchasers at no additional charge. In addition, we will reset all purchasers’ access to the online training and provide with a new one-year period to review the updated material after these content changes are made, at no additional charge.

Q: Will the Delta Bundle still be available for purchase?

No -- the IAQG 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Training and Examination Bundle is no longer available for purchase; IAQG suspended the training until the updated standards are released and available in all languages. However, anyone who already purchased the Delta Bundle can continue to access the training and complete the exams, as further clarified in the "Impact on Existing Delta Purchasers” section below.

Q: When will you release the Delta training in other languages?

We will wait to release the Delta training in other languages until after the release of the updated versions of the standards in all languages, and once there is a clear timeframe for the launch of the necessary OASIS v3 updates (and, therefore, the final transition timeline becomes clear). Once that happens, we plan to release all remaining languages at or around the same time, along with the minor updates to the English training/exam noted above.

Q: When will you release the OCAP and PBS/RP Online Application Training?

This future training is included in the Delta Training and Examination Bundle. As it is intended to feature examples of how to fill out the related forms/data in OASIS v3, we need to wait until the OASIS v3 updates are nearing completion (in a working state) to finalize this material. As this gets closer, we will share further information about this training module.

Q: What is the impact on audits given this change?

Audits will continue to occur under the previously released standards for now.  Please see SR004 Rev C for more information.

Impact on Existing Delta Purchasers

Q: If I already purchased the Delta, is it worth my while to complete it now, or should I just wait?

You may choose either:

  1. to successfully complete the current revision of the training before 30 November 2023, OR
  2. to start over once the new revision is released in the future.

Once the new revision is made available, if you did NOT already complete the current program, your progress in the training and exams will be reset and you will need to start the program again from the beginning (at no additional charge). However, anyone who successfully completes the examination (including any needed retakes) before 30 November 2023 will automatically receive an updated certificate aligned to the new revision of the standards once the updated training is released. All existing purchasers, regardless of completion status, will receive one-year access to the updated training and a summary of all changes to the standards and training. Anyone who successfully completes or has successfully completed the current revision of the exam will NOT need to complete the training or exam again.

Q: If I already attempted the Delta exam did not pass it yet, what happens if I do not pass by 30 November 2023?

Anyone who purchased the current Delta program and has NOT successfully completed the Delta Examination (or Retake) by 30 November 2023 will have their progress reset and will need to start again once the updated program launches. (This will happen automatically at no extra charge.)  This means you would need to start the training over again and, upon completing the training, be required to attempt the exam as if it were your first try (and, subsequently, purchase and complete any retakes that may be necessary). If you already purchased a retake, we recommend attempting your retake by 30 November 2023.

Q: How long will the current Delta Retake Examination be available for purchase?

The 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Final Examination Retake will be available for purchase by any eligible auditors until 31 October 2023 and must be completed by 30 November 2023. If you are NOT able to pass your retake by this time, you will need to start the program over once the revised version is released (at no additional charge), and this will include your new “initial” examination attempt.

Q: If I already purchased the Delta training but do not pass it by 30 November 2023, will I have to buy it again once the revised standard revision is released?

NO. Anyone who purchased the current Delta Bundle will get access to the updated material for one year at no additional charge.

Q: If I already purchased a Retake but do not attempt it by 30 November 2023, or if I decide that I want to start over when the new program launches, what should I do?

Once the program re-launches, you will automatically receive access to the new training at no additional charge, which will include a new “initial” attempt of the examination for anyone who did not already pass. Besides this, please reach out to our IAQG Training Support Team at https://help.iaqgtraining.com to confirm your situation and discuss available options.

Q: If I already purchased the Delta Training, will I lose access?

No, you will retain access to the purchased training until it is replaced by the updated revision. Once we release the new revised revision of the training, you will automatically receive a new copy of the revised Training with a new one-year access period at no additional charge. If you did NOT already successfully complete the exam (or applicable Retakes), you will attempt the exam after completing the revised training. Anyone who already successfully completed the examination will NOT have to attempt it again.

Impact on New Auditor Candidates/AATT and 9110/9120 Programs

Q: What is the impact on qualification of new auditors via the AATT Training Course?

Effective August 2023, IAQG has reinstated the previous version of the AATT course (aligned to 9101:2016) and will allow Training Providers to continue running this course until such time as the revised standards and OASIS v3 updates are launched. Training Providers may enter AATT class dates into the scheduling feature on the IAQG Training website. Any auditors who attend the AATT during this period will eventually need to successfully complete the 9104-1:2022 / 9101:2022 Delta Training and Examination as part of the overall transition timeline (dates to be confirmed).

Q: What is the impact on auditors still in the AATT retake process?

The previously announced retake deadline of 30 April 2024 has been extended to an undetermined future date that will be announced once the revised standards and OASIS v3 updates are launched. Auditors who pass their retakes under the previous AATT program will need to successfully complete the revised 9104-1 / 9101 Delta Training and Examination as part of the overall transition timeline (dates to be confirmed). Once we determine the revised launch schedule for the new AATT program, we will announce the new retake deadline.

Q: What is the impact on auditors who wish to add authentication to 9110/9120?

The 9110:2016 and 9120:2016 training programs that were previously suspended as of 30 April 2023 have been reinstated. Any auditor who wishes to add authentication for 9110 and/or 9120 may purchase and complete these programs through the IAQG Training website. Once we determine the revised launch schedule for the new AATT program, we will announce the new suspension date for the previous 9110 and 9120 programs.

What should I do if I have other questions or concerns?

IAQG is planning to release a supplemental rule that clarifies the new transition plan and timeline as soon as possible; for questions related to these matters, we recommend waiting until IAQG releases these details. For any additional questions or concerns related to the Delta Training or AATT programs discussed above, please contact the IAQG Training Support Team at https://help.iaqgtraining.com/
